About Super Movers

Super Movers started the way a lot of good St. Augustine businesses do — with someone who grew up here and never really left. Owner Russell Dawson was raised a few blocks off San Marco Avenue, and he learned the trade young, spending summers helping his father run deliveries for a downtown furniture store. That is where he first figured out how to get a heavy dresser down a narrow historic-district staircase without gouging century-old plaster.

After school, Russell spent nine years loading and driving for a regional van line’s Jacksonville terminal, moving First Coast household goods week after week. When the recession thinned the crews, he decided to bet on himself. In 2011 he put a down payment on a used 26-foot box truck, rented a bay south of town, and took his first jobs from Realtors he had known since high school. That one truck grew into a fleet, and those first referrals grew into a reputation.

Today we are a local, family-owned moving company — 14 people, with a core crew of 8 movers who all wear our shirts and answer to our office. We are not a broker and we do not hand your job off to strangers. Here is the team you will actually work with.

Russell Dawson, Owner & Founder (since 2011). Russell still runs the walkthrough himself on the bigger estate and beachfront jobs, and he rides along on every new long-distance route the first time we run it. He believes the owner should know the roads, the loading docks, and the tricky driveways firsthand.

Karen Whitfield, Office Manager (since 2016). Karen runs the scheduling board, and she is usually the first voice you hear when you call about a move around St. Augustine or Ponte Vedra. She keeps the calendar honest and makes sure your crew arrives inside the promised window.

Aisha Green, Lead Estimator (since 2019). Aisha handles most of our in-home and video walkthroughs. She has a sharp eye for which historic-downtown addresses need the shuttle truck instead of the full-size rig — a detail that keeps surprises off your moving day.

Nancy Pelletier, Billing & Insurance Coordinator (since 2020). Nancy processes certificates of insurance for the gated golf and beachfront communities that require them, and she handles claims paperwork so nothing falls through the cracks.

Todd Bergeron, Crew Chief — Local (since 2018). Todd leads our St. Augustine and beaches crew. He knows exactly which downtown lanes a 26-footer simply cannot turn into, and which ones call for a shuttle so we protect your things and the neighbors’ cars.

Wyatt Mackey, Crew Chief — Long-Distance (since 2021). Wyatt runs the long-haul crew on our Orlando, Tampa, and Tallahassee routes, drawing on seven years driving CDL for a regional freight carrier before he joined us. Long miles, careful loads.
